Rector of National Meanchey University Presides Over Scholarship Award Ceremony for Korean Language Students

Banteay Meanchey, April 24, 2026National Meanchey University (NMU) held a scholarship award ceremony to recognize 27 outstanding and hardworking students majoring in Korean language from Years 1 to 4, with a total fund of approximately USD 2,700.

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Ngov Chandnoreak, Vice Rector of NMU, representing H.E. Chea Soun, Rector of NMU. The event highlighted the university’s continued efforts to support academic excellence and student achievement.

The scholarships were generously supported by Seukbulsa Temple, the Theungbul Korean Alumni Association, and Korean benefactors Choi Jaehwan, Kim Geumsu, and Kim Samhwan.

On this occasion, NMU expressed its sincere appreciation to Dr. Kim Samhwan and Ly Sievlinh, President of the Korean Language Alumni Association, for their dedicated efforts in mobilizing financial support. The university also extended its heartfelt thanks to all partners and alumni for their continued contributions and encouragement to students pursuing Korean language studies.

This initiative reflects NMU’s strong commitment to enhancing educational opportunities, promoting academic excellence, and strengthening collaboration with international partners and alumni networks.
