Banteay Meanchey, April 24, 2026 – National Meanchey University (NMU) held a scholarship award ceremony to recognize 27 outstanding and hardworking students majoring in Korean language from Years 1 to 4, with a total fund of approximately USD 2,700. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Ngov Chandnoreak, Vice Rector of NMU, representing H.E. Chea Soun, Rector of NMU. The event highlighted the university’s continued efforts to support academic excellence and student achievement. The scholarships were generously supported by Seukbulsa Temple, the Theungbul Korean Alumni Association, and Korean benefactors Choi Jaehwan, Kim Geumsu, and Kim Samhwan. On this occasion, NMU expressed its sincere appreciation to Dr. Kim Samhwan and Ly Sievlinh, President of the Korean Language Alumni Association, for their dedicated efforts in mobilizing financial support. Training program on capacity development of education staff through outcome-based education

On February 27-28, 2026, National Meanchey University organized a training program on developing the capacity of educational staff and teachers through Outcome-Based Education (OBE) under the chairmanship of His Excellency Chea Soeun, Rector of National Meanchey University, with the participation of vice-rectors, deans, vice-deans, department heads, relevant officers, and all teachers of National Meanchey University, with presentations and coordination from the Department of Higher Education Management of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The program aims to strengthen and enhance the capacity of education officials and teachers in organizing and developing curricula in accordance with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) standards, focusing on (1) setting a vision and mission,(2) setting program educational objectives (PEOs), (3) program learning outcomes (PLOs), (4) subject learning outcomes (CLOs), (5) and calculating student learning time (SLT), as well as writing and presenting results in groups by faculty. National Meanchey University Strengthens Cooperation with Confucius Institute Banteay Meanchey, Cambodia – March 14, 2026 — H.E. Chea Soeun, Rector of National Meanchey University, welcomed Prof. Zhang Lin, Director of the Confucius Institute (CINUBB), together with Chinese lecturers, for a courtesy visit and a working discussion aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two institutions. Law Students Observe Court Hearing at Banteay Meanchey Provincial Court

Banteay Meanchey, March 11, 2026 – Seven law students (four female) participated in observing a court hearing at the Provincial Court and the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Court. The hearing involved cases related to illegal drug use, illegal border crossing, and online fraud. During the session, the students attentively followed the proceedings and recorded the practical legal procedures carried out during the hearing. They observed the arguments presented during the trial as well as the final conclusions delivered by the representative of the Prosecutor’s Office. This activity provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand experience and deepen their understanding of real judicial procedures beyond classroom learning.
